Petitions for moving back toward the time zone
This page presents the initiatives and petitions led or supported by ACHED to end clock changes, abandon summer time (UTC+2) and move back toward France’s natural time zone.
🔒 The National Assembly petition requires identification (FranceConnect).
Important: petition platforms and financial support
When signing certain petitions hosted on external platforms, additional financial support screens may appear.
- ACHED is not responsible for these screens, their presentation, or the payment options offered by those platforms.
- We encourage everyone to be cautious before entering payment details. Depending on the choices made, some platforms may offer or set up recurring contributions, including monthly ones.
- In the case of a contribution paid through Change.org, that money is not transferred to us. Depending on the platform, it may be used to amplify the petition’s visibility, but it does not constitute a donation to ACHED.
- If you wish to support ACHED financially, please use our membership / donations page or HelloAsso directly, which acts as the association’s intermediary.
Support ACHED financially
For decades, our association has warned about the effects of clock changes and time advancement on health, sleep, social life, energy and climate. This page presents, in particular, the initiatives launched by ACHED and aims to guide the public toward the available ways of showing support.
Why support these initiatives?
There is a consensus in favor of ending clock changes, but the choice of which time to keep remains blocked. Clarifying this debate is essential in order to avoid decisions that would be harmful to health, sleep and climate.

Clock changes continue to face strong opposition, and a consensus seems gradually to have emerged in favor of ending them. However, this consensus remains blocked by the absence of agreement on which time should be kept. The prospect of keeping summer time all year round, which is regularly mentioned, maintains this uncertainty. According to the association, such an option, which would amount to maintaining a substantial time advance relative to the natural geographical time zone, would be unfavorable to health, sleep, as well as to certain energy and climate balances. Supporting initiatives consistent with a return to the natural time zone helps to clarify the debate, facilitate coherent decisions and their implementation, and encourage an approach that is more readable, shared and unifying for all citizens.
